Education Programmes

The United Way of Jamaica (UWJ) works along the critical points in the Jamaican Education system to help children achieve their potential through education.

In particular, UWJ supports the development of Early Childhood Education including nutrition programmes, installation of safety equipment and Teacher Training. This enables our youngest children to get the best possible start in life.

Youth programmes, including the Rise Life Management Services and the Jamaican Association for Children with Intellectual Disabilities (JAID) which runs twenty-eight (28) Schools of Hope across Jamaica, are supported by the UWJ.

Basic schools in parishes including St. Andrew, St. Catherine, Manchester, Hanover and Clarendon have a safer and more secure environment through the provision of security fencing.
